This full-time contract opportunity for a dedicated Special Education Teacher is perfect for those who have a passion for fostering growth and educational success among diverse learners. You'll work closely with teams of professionals, utilizing evidence-based instructional practices and delivering specially designed instruction to students on alternative standards.
Key Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid CDE-issued Special Education (SPED) License with Generalist Endorsement (no substitutes or temporary credentials; pending applications considered with proof)
- Extensive classroom experience as a Special Education Teacher
- Deep understanding of the IEP process, with a proven ability to support students through tailored program development
- Demonstrated knowledge of instructional practices, strategies, and accommodations for students with diverse needs
- Commitment to collaborative partnerships with fellow educators, therapists, and families
- Strong expertise in developing and implementing specialized instruction for students on alternative standards
- Confidence in leading and adhering to all compliance requirements and procedures
- Ability to work onsite; this role is not open to remote, VOCO, or hybrid settings
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction in a center-based classroom
- Develop, monitor, and implement IEPs through data-driven decision-making
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and families to ensure student progress
- Provide a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
- Adapt and differentiate curriculum materials as needed
This contract position offers full-time hours (37.5 per week) with an immediate start and runs through the end of the academic year.
