Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse - $2,125 per week

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiac-related conditions, including heart failure and other medical cardiac diagnoses. The role requires a focus on monitoring, medication administration, and patient education within a fast-paced, acute care environment. Job Details Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a registered nurse; current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Position Description: Work on a 32-bed medical cardiac telemetry unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 during the day shift and 1:6 during evening hours. Manage patients with diagnoses such as CHF and other medical cardiac conditions. Titrate medications including Amio, Hep, Insulin, and Cardizem as required. Read and interpret telemonitoring strips (GE monitors) and ensure patient safety. Perform patient care duties such as vital signs, bathing, blood glucose testing, phlebotomy, and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Respond to high flow oxygen, Bipap, and BiPap equipment issues, with use typically less than 24 hours. Participate in on-call rotation as a last resort for staffing needs. Additional Information: RNs are required to read their own telemonitor strips. The unit is equipped with high flow, Bipap, and BiPap machines. Charting is completed in EPIC electronic health record system. No charge nurse on each shift, but charge nurses take assignments. No experience required beyond the specified minimum; additional clinical skills and certifications are preferred.
