Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)
We are currently seeking a skilled Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our dedicated clinical team. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment, assisting with various cardiovascular procedures, and ensuring high-quality patient care.
Shift and Schedule
- Schedule: 4x10 hours, typically from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with variations based on procedure completion.
- Weekend Requirements: Yes, on-call duties required one weekend per month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
- On-call Schedule: One weekday call shift each week. Call requirements may change based on staffing needs.
Patient Care
- Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:1 during procedures.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab or related environment.
- Current South Carolina nursing license or compact license required prior to start date.
- Required national certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
- Radiation badge must be provided by the agency; facility does not supply radiation badges.
- Experience with electrophysiology (EP) and catheterization procedures is essential.
Miscellaneous Information
- Travelers may be part of emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November).
- Parking is provided at no cost to staff; parking passes distributed at badge pickup.
- Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis.
Work Environment
This position is in an acute care setting with a total of 304 staffed beds. The Cath Lab operates with hospital-issued scrubs, and electronic health records are managed through Epic.
