PRN LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Job Title: PRN LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Location: Midwest City, OK Department: Nursing Reports to: DON Position Type: PRN (As needed) Job Summary As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Emerald Care Center Midwest , you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our residents. This position offers flexibility with scheduling and is ideal for those looking to work on an as-needed basis. Work Environment Work is performed in a skilled nursing facility. Responsibilities Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and treatments as prescribed by the physician. Monitoring and Assessment: Monitor residents’ vital signs, document their progress, and report any significant changes to the Charge Nurse or Director of Nursing. Care Planning: Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet each resident’s needs. Communication: Maintain clear and accurate documentation of patient care, communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team. Compliance: Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including infection control and safety protocols. Support: Provide emotional support and education to residents and their families, helping them understand care plans and health conditions. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including RNs, CNAs, physicians, and therapists, to deliver coordinated and comprehensive care. Qualifications Licensure: Valid LPN/LVN license in Oklahoma Education: Graduation from an accredited LPN/LVN program. Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred. Certifications: Current CPR/BLS certification required. Additional certifications may be required based on state regulations. Communications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals and build positive relationships with residents and their families. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move patients, perform physical assessments, and stand for extended periods.
