Bowling Mechanic

Role Description The Bowling Center Mechanic position will be responsible for assisting the Head Mechanic and General Manager. The Bowling Center Mechanic is primarily responsible for the repair and operation of pinsetters, automatic scoring machines, lane maintenance, and other facility equipment at the highest level of operating proficiency. The Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining service, safety, and security guidelines to maintain the quality and ethical standards set by Hijinx.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for maintaining the Bowling Center equipment under the direction of the Bowling Center Head Mechanic and Bowling Center Manager. Responsible for maintaining pinsetters, automatic scoring equipment, lanes, lane maintenance equipment, and all other bowling center equipment at the highest level of operating proficiency Maintaining correct parts inventory by recording machine repairs and parts used Must maintain a clean and safe working environment Must follow Lock-Out/Tag-Out functions on all safety sensitive equipment Abides by the Machine Area Safety Procedures and Standards of Operation Will not allow non-trained personnel on or around safety-sensitive equipment Ensures operational compliance with appropriate laws and policies to include OSHA safety practices and procedures. Ensures control/protection of company assets Work nights, weekends and holidays as required Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or equivalent experience Must be 18 years of age Experience in Brunswick A2 pinsetters preferred but not required Interest and/or knowledge of Bowling and Mechanical operations preferred Ability to maintain professional, courteous, and effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and outside business contacts. Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills Ability to prepare reports, correspondence, and other information and instructions. Ability to work with minimal supervision and make independent decisions and judgement in keeping with the level of the position Ability to understand, follow, and maintain safety standards at all times Willingness to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights and weekends

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Walk or stand for extended periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a bowling center environment where high levels of noise, dust, and physical activity can be expected.
