Traveling Licensed Electrician

Traveling Licensed ElectricianTimberlyn Lighting has been in business for 30 years, and we have worked hard to earn a reputation as one of the top lighting contractors in the industry. We are looking for a traveling licensed electrician to join our growing team and take advantage of the many benefits of working at Timberlyn Lighting. This position is a 100% traveling/over-the-road. A journeyman's license is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will be required to run and bend conduit, make modifications to solar circuitry, etc. Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and pass a drug test. Prerequisite for employment: Must complete and pass the ICC F16 Master Journeyman Exam on NEC 2014 guidelines or have a valid electrical license.Licensed Electrician Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to:Able to travel 100% of the timeAssist crews on other projects that may have questions on installations.Assist in the installation and repairs.Use learned knowledge of the industry to offer solutions of various obstacles that may arise while on the job site.Assist Project Manager with daily responsibilitiesFinding solutions to issues that may occur, i.e. receive phone calls (technical install questions) throughout the night from field staff and assist in delegating project tasks based on staff members strengths, skill sets, & experience levelsCoordination of technicians to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope of workCoach and Supervise staff to ensure productive progression of newly hired staffProvide performance feedback to Crew Leader in chargeAssist Crew Leaders with implementing changes to the project scope once receivedInstruct employees in proper work methods and Timberlyn Lighting standardsMonitor crew work qualityUse and continually develop leadership skillsPerform work tasks drawn out by your Project Manager (tasks may change/ they are project specific)Operate all equipment necessary to complete assigned tasks.Maintain a safe work environment, i.e. assist Operations Manager to implement new safe work practices and provide feedback on new procedures and safety equipment implemented into the field via Operations ManagerAudit project locations to ensure planning, execution, project close are completed within time of scope provided from clientLicensed Electrician - Other Requirements include, but not limited to:Journeyman or electrical license of some degreeUnderstand and comply with national electrical codesReading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagramsInstalling all types of conduit (including rigid)Install new wire in existing systems or repairing old wiringProviding power and controls to motors, HVAC, and other equipmentMounting panel boards, transformers, switch gear, transfer switches, and other various types of equipmentDirect and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipmentLicensed Electrician Employee Benefits & Perks:Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance6 paid holidays, including New Year's Eve, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, ChristmasPaid-time Off awarded after 1 year of employmentRetirement Plan available after meeting necessary requirementsRoom & Board and transportation covered by companyAnnual Bonus potential based on company and employee performanceLicensed Electrician Compensation: Range of $20 - $50 per hour depending on qualifications.
