Job Description
Join Our Dynamic ICU Team as a Travel Nurse! Job Description:
- Exciting Opportunity: Be part of a fast-paced environment in a Level 1 Trauma Center with a focus on critical care.
- Shift Details:
- 12-Hour Night Shifts
- 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks
- Holidays based on unit coverage - Essential Qualifications:
- Must have Level 1 Trauma experience
- 2+ years of experience in ICU
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS preferred but not required
- Advanced Dysrhythmia Exam: Must pass with an 80% within 2 attempts - Orientation and Training:
- Complete orientation over 2 shifts (3rd shift as needed)
- Participate in SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes (pass/fail) - Key Responsibilities:
- Float among ICU areas and MedSurg/Tele units as needed
- Function independently in various settings
- Competent in maintaining sterile fields and conducting skin assessments
- Patient Care Expectations:
- Provide high-quality care across diverse patient populations, including trauma, surgical, and neuro patients
- Handle critical drips and respiratory support equipment - Work Environment:
- Collaborative and supportive team atmosphere
- Charge RN available for guidance and assignments
- Additional Information:
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Charting System: Cerner
