Temp Phlebotomist This overnight Phlebotomist role requires working weekends and holidays , with assignments rotating every other weekend. During the assignment period, one holiday shift will be scheduled for July 4 or Labor Day . Key Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for patients of all ages. Collect specimens from Emergency Department and inpatient units according to priority. Verify patient identification and accurately label specimens at the bedside. Handle and transport specimens in accordance with laboratory policies. Communicate effectively with nursing and laboratory staff regarding delays or issues. Required Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of recent hospital-based phlebotomy experience. Proficiency in venipuncture and capillary collections. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume overnight environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications National phlebotomy certification. Previous Emergency Department experience. Additional Requirements Availability to work weekends and holidays is mandatory.
