Special Education Teacher

Position: Full-Time
Location: New Haven, CT
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: June 2027

We are seeking a Certified Special Education Teacher in New Haven, CT to provide specialized instruction and support while collaborating with educators to help students with diverse learning needs succeed.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals.
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and school personnel.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Implement accommodations and modifications as outlined in students’ IEPs.
• Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and other members of the educational team.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in special education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid Connecticut teaching certification in Special Education.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in a school setting.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized instructional strategies.
• Commitment to supporting student growth, inclusion, and academic success.
