Cost Accountant

We are looking for a Cost Accountant to add to our team in Longmont, CO. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for all inventory accounting functions. Key areas of responsibility:

• Developing inventory analysis reports and analyzing variances
• Assisting in the improvement in internal controls related to inventory
• Verifying accurate standard costs
• Monitoring inventory transactions
• Performing month-end cost accounting close
• Calculating annual Standard Cost updates (Material & Labor)
• Reconciling monthly inventory accounts to the general ledger
• Preparing monthly journal entries
• Understanding Revenue Recognition including Multiple Element Recognition
• Building relationships with international factory personnel
• Special projects as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business, accounting, finance, or related field required
• Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements

Experience:

• Minimum one year of general accounting experience required
• Advanced work in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree (e.g., junior and senior year, etc.) in accounting, finance, or a related field can be substituted for one year of experience

Other:

• Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
