The JobSquad Solutions Team is currently looking for a Press Operator to work at a company located in the Greensboro, NC area!

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Produces printed materials by studying job specifications; setting up, operating, adjusting, controlling and maintaining printing equipment. Contributes to overall quality, productivity, and waste reduction of each printed job produced.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Set up and run jobs on the press, including but not limited to, setting plate impressions, registering plates, color toning, operation of spectrometer, achieving proper print  position and understanding / comprehending all information on the spec sheet unwind.

2. Keep press and area clean.

3. Perform some maintenance on equipment.

4. Teach press assistants their job and operation of machine.

5. Maintain compliance with BRC requirements and the Product Safety and Quality Management System (PSQMS).

• Adhere to GMP requirements and report any potential food safety hazards as per procedure

• Attend annual PSQMS training.

6. Performs other related duties and assignments supporting the quality system as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be a Press Operator II in order to become a Press Operator I. (This job is a progression step from Press Operator II.)

• Cannot be colorblind.

• May have customer contact or access to confidential information.

WORKING ENVIROMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work environment characteristics are representative of those associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Associates may find powder and/or dust in the work area. The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The position calls for an associate to be able to perform the following:

Walking 

Climbing 

Standing

Lifting up to 100 lbs. 

Bending 

Pushing

The noise level in identified work areas within the manufacturing area may require hearing protection.

Hearing protection is provided to associates at no cost to them.

Hazardous waste in-house training required.

1. Wide Web Press

2. Hand Tools

3. Electric pallet jack & lifts

4. Chain Hoist
