Senior Cloud Engineer

Senior Cloud Engineer The Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and services to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability, while automating infrastructure deployment using infrastructure as code. Responsibilities Create and maintain cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and services; select appropriate cloud services, develop architecture diagrams, and write automation scripts. Deploy new applications to the cloud and migrate existing applications to modern cloud services. Monitor performance of cloud-based systems, optimize resources for cost-effectiveness and high availability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues, and participate in outage responses. Support design and architecture of new solutions, including networking, systems, and redesign of current ones. Develop and enforce cloud security policies and procedures to protect data and applications from unauthorized access and security threats. Document environment architecture, train other team members, and create standard operating procedures for IT teams. Comply with organizational systems, programs, policies, and relevant legal mandates. Participate in the safety program (I2P2) for self‑protection and protection of other employees. Carry out responsibilities honestly, ethically, and professionally. Perform additional duties as delegated by direct supervisor or management. Requirements Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 4 years of experience in cloud engineering, software/network engineering, computer and information science, or related field. Advanced knowledge of documenting infrastructure and establishing standards and procedures. Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, OCI), cloud strategy, design, architecture, and migration. Advanced knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Advanced knowledge of troubleshooting line‑of‑business applications, incident, problem, and change management. Excellent verbal, written, and executive presentation skills. Ability to collaborate and facilitate progressive change. Strong quality and results orientation. Compensation Annual base pay range: $105,322.00 to $131,652.00, adjusted for geography, education, training, skills, and relevant experience. Position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
