Household Data Specialist for Video Capture

Help train household robots by capturing high-quality video demonstrations of everyday home tasks while wearing a UMI gripper, a wearable device that mimics a robot hand. Your recordings become training data that teaches robots how to manipulate objects and operate in real homes.

• Record and submit specification-compliant video demonstrations of everyday household tasks using a UMI gripper wearable device.
• Follow detailed, task-specific instructions to ensure each recording meets rigorous project standards.
• Set up and operate recording equipment and the UMI gripper so recorded hand movements accurately reflect real-world manipulation.
• Review feedback from assigned reviewers and iteratively refine recording technique and workflow to improve data quality.
• Communicate proactively and clearly with the project team, both in writing and verbally.
• Maintain a consistent weekly workflow to meet the project minimums for approved data output.

• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to follow complex specifications precisely.
• Manual dexterity and experience performing precise physical tasks in household settings.
• Comfort operating, wearing, and setting up specialized devices and video recording equipment, including the UMI gripper.
• Ability to incorporate reviewer feedback and make iterative improvements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including openness to prompt feedback exchanges.
• Comfortable with prolonged use of a VR headset as part of regular work activities.

• Interest in personal robotics, AI, and emerging home technologies.
• Prior experience in data collection, usability studies, or hands-on research projects.
• Patience for repetitive, precision-oriented work and flexibility to adapt as project needs change.

• Remote work, must be based in Argentina and able to perform tasks from a home environment with common household areas such as kitchen and living spaces.
• Maintain a consistent weekly cadence to meet minimum approved data requirements.
• Operate and upload large video files from your home, so reliable, high-speed internet is required.

• Pay range: 15 to 30 hourly, paid per hour of approved data that meets project specifications.
• Pay-Per-Task model, with an initial pilot rate per approved hour, and an improved per-approved-hour rate after calibration when quality benchmarks are met consistently.
• Planning benchmark: during early stages expect about 2 hours of review work for every 1 hour of approved data, which typically improves with familiarity and calibration.

• Candidates must be located in Argentina and able to work as a contractor from an Argentine household environment.
• Reliable access to household spaces and common items required, plus stable, high-speed internet capable of uploading large video files.
• Comfort with extended VR headset use is required for this role.
