Prep Cook - Taco Reho

Job Description

Summary of Position: If you're the kind of person who thrives behind the scenes, loves working with fresh ingredients, and takes pride in setting the kitchen up for success-Taco Reho has a spot for you. We're a fast-paced, music-fueled, SoCal-inspired kitchen looking for a Prep Cook who's ready to chop, slice, mix, and hustle. You'll be the backbone of the line, making sure everything's prepped to perfection so our team can deliver epic tacos and good vibes. If you bring the hustle, we'll bring the vibes. Must Enjoy the Ride!

Duties & Responsibilities:

Review the Daily Prep List at the start of each shift and knock out assigned tasks
Prep proteins, veggies, sauces, and more-always following our recipe standards
Portion ingredients ahead of service to keep the line moving fast and smooth
Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly (broilers, fryers, grills, ovens, and more)
Keep your station clean, organized, and up to health code at all times
Label, rotate, and store ingredients properly
Alert the Kitchen Manager to product shortages or equipment issues ASAP
Attend team meetings and bring fresh ideas to the table
Be ready to jump in and help out wherever needed
Own your station, own your product, and always keep quality top of mind
Be a brand ambassador-everything you do should reflect the Taco Reho vibe

Qualifications:

1-3 years full-service restaurant kitchen experience preferred;
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Culinary degree preferred
Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
Must possess strong understanding of cooking methods & procedures, and knife handling skills
Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
Ability to read & follow cooking directions and other instructions pertaining to the position
Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
Basic written & verbal communication skills
Must be organized with a self-starter & motivated work ethic
Must be a team player
Must be able to stand, bend, stretch, lift, and carry heavy materials up to 50lbs
