This position involves analyzing detailed project specifications, material requirements, labor, and overhead costs to develop comprehensive and precise estimates. The Senior Estimator collaborates closely with engineering, production, and sales teams to align estimates with project scope and client expectations. By providing timely and reliable cost projections, this role supports strategic decision-making and bid submissions that drive business growth. Ultimately, the Senior Estimator ensures that all estimates reflect realistic costs while maintaining quality and efficiency standards. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating within the manufacturing industry. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and labor cost structures. Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Certification such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or equivalent. Experience with ERP systems and advanced estimating tools. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and cost reduction strategies. Strong negotiation and vendor management experience. Previous experience working in a cross-functional team environment. Responsibilities: Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand project requirements and identify potential cost‑saving opportunities. Develop and maintain databases of historical costs, vendor pricing, and labor rates to support accurate estimating. Prepare and present detailed bid proposals and cost breakdowns to internal stakeholders and clients. Monitor project progress and update estimates as necessary to reflect changes in scope or market conditions. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all estimates. Skills: The Senior Estimator utilizes analytical skills daily to interpret complex project data and translate it into accurate cost estimates. Proficiency with estimating software and ERP systems enables efficient data management and streamlined proposal development. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with internal teams and negotiating with suppliers to secure optimal pricing. Attention to detail ensures that all cost components are accounted for, minimizing risk and maximizing profitability.
