Corporate Accountant

BerryDunn is seeking an experienced Corporate Accountant on behalf of our client, Wagner Forest Management, a successful, well-respected investment management group, providing superior natural resource investment and management services, located in Lyme, New Hampshire with flexibility for hybrid work after a period of in-office training.

Responsibilities

The Corporate Accountant will participate in a variety of activities including preparing financial statements, journal entries and account reconciliations as well as performing day-to-day accounting duties in the areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable and bank reconciliation. The Corporate Accountant will perform additional analytical procedures as needed. Maintenance of workpapers to support financial reporting using Microsoft Access and Excel. Communicate with bookkeepers and operations staff regarding accounting matters. Coordinate with the Controller and CFO to support priorities as needed.

Qualifications

• A degree with 2+ years experience in the areas of general ledger and financial reporting,
• Working knowledge of the financial statement presentation and disclosure requirements, internal controls, and corporate and partnership accounting and tax issues,
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities,
• Solid written and verbal communication skills,
• Attention to detail and accuracy,
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize;
• Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines,
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with particular emphasis on Excel formulas and functions and Access databases.

Compensation Details

Compensation range: $65,000-75,000. This salary range represents a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications in excess of the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply, and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, and other relevant business considerations.
