Industrial Maintenance Technician I - $31.45 p/hr (6AM Start Time)

Job Overview Engineering technicians perform scheduled as well as unscheduled maintenance tasks. They must possess strong electrical and mechanical skills to support production and maintain efficient operation. They must hold or be able to acquire required licenses for boilers, refrigeration, and other equipment. They are expected to pursue continuous training due to technological improvements and rotate among engineering and production assignments. They are responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, proficiency in SAP, and compliance with product safety, legality, and quality standards. Responsibilities Perform assigned preventative maintenance tasks. Perform scheduled maintenance on plant equipment and machinery. Respond to and correct equipment stoppage or mechanical breakdown; troubleshoot and repair or replace worn, defective parts, motors, and control devices. Operate machine shop equipment, hand tools, and power hand tools and fabricate required parts when necessary. Maintain cleanliness of work area. Practice and comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and work rules. Perform other duties as directed by supervision. Fulfill work schedule, attendance, and other operating rules and policies. Preferred Qualifications One or more years of experience as a technician and/or formal training or experience. Experience in HVAC, welding, electronics, electrical repairs, industrial equipment installations, alignment, start‑up repairs, and related areas. Essential Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalency plus no less than a 9/12 month vocational/technical certification course. Equivalent military training, other related technical training, or two or more years of college education may substitute for vocational technical training. Other technical training may include completion of an AIB maintenance engineering course.
