Position Overview

We are seeking qualified candidates for a Night 4x12-Hour shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) in a dynamic healthcare setting. The ideal candidate must be willing to work 2 out of 3 designated holiday bundles, including Thanksgiving & the following day, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve & New Year's Day. All applicants should hold the required certifications and be prepared for floating between multiple units.

Key Responsibilities

• Float to various units including Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), and lower acuity settings.
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5, with possible variation based on unit needs.
• Provide vital care to patients and monitor their conditions effectively.
• Participate in a collaborative environment including interdisciplinary support services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant field.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias and telemetry.
• Ability to start and maintain IVs.

Work Environment

This position is located in a Level I Trauma, Teaching Hospital, and offers care for adult and geriatric populations, addressing a wide range of diagnoses including heart failure, COPD, stroke, and more. The hospital operates at over 100% capacity, providing a challenging yet rewarding work experience.

Schedule Details

• Shifts are 12 hours long.
• Weekend requirements: 2 shifts per 4-week schedule, subject to unit needs.
• Floating among units is a standard expectation.

Additional Information

• COVID-19 vaccination is optional; however, reporting is required. Exemptions are allowed for medical or religious reasons.
• Orientation and training will be provided as necessary, with modules completed during this time.
• Parking at the facility is at no cost to employees.
