Analyzes technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and parts/equipment availability. Investigates and recommends potential suppliers based on assessments of response to specifications, costs, inspection of facilities, and historical performance. Facilitate technical trade-offs and standardization that may lead to more economical procurement. Recommends design changes to mitigate production issues. Leads teams of Supplier and internal staff in collaboratively solving problems in Producibility, Quality, Inspection, Cost, Mistake-Proofing, Test, Reliability and Affordability.Basic Qualifications• Ability to evaluate manufacturing process quality plan• Ability to perform defect data trend analysis; ability to make rational, risk-based decisions• Ability to perform root cause analysis• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities within a cross-functional team, as well as independently with suppliers• Working understanding of mechanical/electro-mechanical hardware and associated manufacturing processes and inspections• Working familiarity with ISO9001 & AS9100 Quality Management Systems, including AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements.Desired SkillsSolid written & oral communication skillsElectrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering background and/or experienceExperience with RF devices and associated technologies is preferable, but not a mustFamiliarity with SPC-based data analysisFamiliarity with Lean/Six Sigma conceptsAbility to read engineering drawings with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)Experience with P2P (SAP) and EPDM systemsPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
