Assistant General Manager - Cafe
A growing hospitality group is seeking an energetic assistant general manager to help drive daily operations and the ongoing success of a high-quality café, bakery, and retail environment. This is an exciting opportunity to make an impact alongside passionate teammates and play a key role in a people- and quality-focused concept.
Assistant General Manager - Cafe Benefits & Compensation
- Base salary: $60,000–$65,000

Assistant General Manager - Cafe Requirements & Qualifications
- 2+ years of café management experience with a strong foundation in food and beverage operations
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop teams
- Strong hospitality mindset with a genuine passion for guest experience
- Experience in labor management, budgeting, cost control, and reporting
- Highly organized with effective prioritization skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable collaborating with team members, guests, vendors, and leadership
- Hands-on, adaptable leadership style with a strong sense of ownership
Assistant General Manager - Cafe Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead daily café and store operations alongside the general manager; serve as manager on duty when needed
- Coach, train, and support team members, fostering a positive and accountable culture
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and labor management in relation to operational goals
- Deliver outstanding guest experiences and proactively resolve customer concerns
- Monitor sales, cost of goods, labor, and operating expenses to identify opportunities for efficiency and profitability
- Ensure high standards for food and beverage quality, inventory, merchandising, and retail presentation
- Support food and beverage preparation and menu initiatives
- Maintain health, safety, and cleanliness standards across all areas
- Collaborate with leadership on marketing and promotions to boost customer engagement and sales
