Business Analyst

Review business processes, analyze data, and create and maintain reporting to support operational effectiveness Coordinate workflow and guide junior analysts Analyze reports to direct inventory and performance management Develop project plans, establish deadlines, monitor milestones, provide reporting, and resolve conflicts Identify defects and improve departmental performance Recommend and implement workflow, system, tool, automation, productivity, and quality improvements Evaluate technical and procedural information and communicate it to management and end users Review technical specifications to ensure business requirements are reflected in technical planning Develop and maintain reporting tools and statistical reports Verify testing results and provide resource planning and issue resolution Collaborate with IT and other Healthfirst business units on defects, testing, and projects Assess operational impacts, workflow, and training issues Ensure post-implementation accuracy Perform additional duties as assigned Requirements High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited school Work experience as a Business Analyst or equivalent role Experience with in-depth data querying and manipulation of data Experience with MS Excel functions, large data sets, standardized reports, vLookups, advanced functions/formulas, pivot tables, filtering and formatting Experience gathering and communicating complex analytical business requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (preferred) Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and work with independence and initiative Strong problem-solving ability Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and lead in a team environment Ability to work within regulatory and compliance guidelines Work experience with access to confidential information and other data types Experience creating and running complex queries using SAS, SQL or other programs Healthcare experience in an Agile work environment Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in data analysis, reporting, and workflow improvement within a business analyst role, with a strong focus on operational effectiveness and compliance.
