About the Position

Shift: Day (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent Psychiatric RN experience preferred License: Active and unrestricted RN license in state of practice Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Strong communication and assessment skills, ability to manage crisis situations, and experience in behavioral health or psychiatric settings Description: The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in an inpatient behavioral health setting. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care based on established standards of practice. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring patient responses, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care. The nurse will provide education to patients and families regarding mental health conditions and treatment plans. Candidate must be skilled in de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress is essential. The ideal candidate demonstrates empathy, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
