The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and will embody a respectful, calm, and kind demeanor while fostering teamwork and effective communication. Patient Population\n The Registered Nurse will care for patients with the following conditions: \n \n Myocardial Infarction (MI) \n Post-operative open-heart surgery patients, including TAVR and fem-pop bypass within 24 hours \n Pre- and post-operative open-heart patients (24-48 hours post-op) \n Cardiac arrhythmias and management of Tikosyn therapy \n Pacemaker and ICD management \n PCU-level patients \n Post-cardiac catheterization patients (femoral and radial approaches) \n Patients transitioning from ICU and those with vascular complications, including amputations \n Responsibilities\n The successful candidate will be responsible for: \n \n Monitoring and caring for cardiovascular patients \n Identifying and interpreting cardiac rhythms \n Managing cardiology-related treatments, including cardiac drips such as nitroglycerin, heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, dopamine, and dobutamine \n Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care \n Maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations \n Qualifications\n Applicants must possess the following: \n \n BLS (Basic Life Support) certification \n ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification \n NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification \n Proven experience in cardiac care and PCU, with the ability to manage complex patient situations effectively \n Support and Resources\n The department offers robust support, including: \n \n 2-4 Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) per shift \n Free Floating Charge Nurse \n Flex Nurse available to assist with admissions and discharges \n Access to Hospitalists and Cardiologists available 24/7 \n Telemetry technicians to assist with patient monitoring \n Scheduling\n Details regarding scheduling include: \n \n Weekend rotation every other week \n Flexibility to pick up extra shifts if desired \n Two out of three holidays will be expected \n Requests for time off (RTO) must be approved by the manager \n Shifts are typically 12 hours, with a schedule cycle set in 6-week periods \n Other Information\n Additional notes include: \n \n Scrub Color: Any solid color, must be professional with no graphics or logos \n Parking options: Free parking in surrounding lots and paid parking available in the parking garage \n \n \n Wellspring Nurse Source Job ID 37919462.
