Associate Technical Designer- RTW

Our Client, A contemporary Brand in NYC is looking for an Associate Technical Sweater Designer to join their team! Responsibilities: Assist in setting up initial development specs for new styles and publishing tech packs for proto requests. Maintain all tech pack updates and fit comments for proto stage through bulk production. Review proto and production samples, design and fit intent and suggest adjustments as necessary. Help to prepare for fit sessions by checking in samples, accurately measuring garments, and taking notes in fittings. Support Sweater Technical Designer by helping support technical comment workload in order to maintain deadlines. Must be able to work independently. Communicate with suppliers on all technical issues, providing technical expertise on how to correct or achieve a desired look and giving detailed feedback on samples. Qualifications: 3-5 years experience in Technical Design, pattern making, garment construction and fitting experience. Background in sweaters / knitwear required. Experience with knit, yarn, gauge, knitting construction, and wash Possess good computer skills, Illustrator proficiency required, PLM / PDM experience preferred. Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner – strong written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail, accuracy, with strong organizational skills Must be English-proficient in order to communicate effectively with internal and external partners. #J-18808-Ljbffr Fourth Floor
