IT Program Manager (Policy And Planning)
This position is being filled under the memorandum from the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (USD(P&R)) "Expansion of Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense," dated October 15, 2021. As a IT PROGRAM MANAGER (POLICY AND PLANNING) at the GS-2210-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Manages one or more major, multi-year IT initiatives by leading, coordinating, and ensuring the overall success of the program is aligned with critical agency priorities.
- Serves as a Program Manager, responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle. This includes gathering and prioritizing requirements, defining the product vision, and creating the product strategy and roadmap.
- Develops and maintains strategic plans, assesses policy needs, develops policies to govern IT activities, and provides policy guidance to IT management, staff, and customers.
- Performs a wide range of IT management activities including strategic and capital planning, investment control, workforce planning, policy development, resource management, and information security management.
