Leadanddelivercommercialelectricalprojectsfordatacentersfrompreconstructionthroughcloseout.Responsibleforprojectplanning,budgeting,scheduling,coordination,quality,safety,andclientsatisfaction.Servesastheprimarypointofcontactforowners,GCs,engineers,vendors,andfieldteamstoensuretimely,compliant,andprofitableexecutionofmission-criticalelectricalsystems. Key responsibilities Managefullprojectlifecyclefordatacenterelectricalscopes(powerdistribution,UPS/backuppower,switchgear,transformers,generators,PDUs,busway,ATS,grounding,lighting,raceways,cabling). Develop,maintain,andownprojectbudgets,forecasts,cost-controlreports,andprofittargets;performregularjob-costanalysisandchangeordermanagement. Createandmanageprojectschedules(includingfloatandcritical-pathactivities);coordinatewithgeneralcontractorandMEPtradestomaintainmilestonesandcommissioningwindows. Leadpreconstructionandplanningactivities:constructabilityreviews,valueengineering,takeoffs,riskidentification,andprocurementstrategy. Overseeprocurementandvendormanagementforlong-leadandspecialtyequipment(switchgear,UPS,generators,STS,transformers);coordinateexpediting,delivery,receiving,andstorage. Superviseprojectstaffing:assignforemen/supervisors,reviewsubcontractorperformance,andensureappropriatestaffinglevelsandskillsareonsite. Ensureprojectcompliancewithcontractdocuments,designdrawings,specifications,localcodes,NFPA,IEEE,anddata-centerstandards(UptimeInstitute,TIA-942whereapplicable). Coordinatecommissioning,testing,andturnoveractivitieswithcommissioningagentsandowners(CAT,loadbanks,electricalsystemacceptance,ATS/STStesting). Managequalitycontrolandsafety:enforcecompany/sitesafetyprograms,performjobwalks,andaddresscorrectiveactions. Driveclientcommunicationandrelationshipmanagement:weeklystatusupdates,RFIs,submittalapprovals,anddisputeresolution. Leadcloseout:as-builtdrawings,O&Mmanuals,warrantydocumentation,lienreleases,andfinalbilling. MentoranddevelopjuniorPMsandprojectstaff;contributetocontinuousimprovementandlessons-learnedreviews. Required qualifications 5+yearsprojectmanagementexperienceoncommercialELECTRICALprojects. Proventrackrecordmanagingmedium-to-largeelectricalbudgets,schedules,andmulti-disciplinecoordinationinmission-criticalenvironments. Strongknowledgeofpowerdistributionsystems,UPS/backuppower,switchgear,grounding,medium/low-voltageequipment,anddata-centerreliabilityrequirements. Experiencewithcommissioningandtestingproceduresfordatacenterelectricalsystems. Proficientwithprojectmanagementandconstructionsoftware(MSProjectorPrimavera,Procore,Viewpoint/Jonas/Sage,orsimilar)andMicrosoftExcel. Strongfinancialacumen:budgetdevelopment,forecasting,changeordernegotiation,andcloseout. Excellentcommunication,leadership,conflictresolution,andclient-facingskills. Preferred qualifications Degreeinelectricalengineering,constructionmanagement,orrelatedfield.
