A Day in the Life Understanding of day‑to‑day laboratory operations. Responsible for lab restocking and refilling. Supports shipping and receiving. Coordinates cold storage and room temperature storage and handles onsite inventory. Management of biohazardous materials and waste, chemical waste, sharps, and other potentially hazardous materials. Supports lab equipment life cycle and calibration management, including preventative maintenance of a variety of simple to complex laboratory equipment (e.g., centrifuges, water systems, incubators, analytical equipment). Plans and executes instrument post service qualifications, reagent qualification, and inter‑instrument comparability runs. Coordinates activities across multiple teams and maintains cross‑functional relationships across testing teams, project management teams, and site leadership. EHS and 5S champion. Prepares and supports audit readiness. Keys to Success Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences (preferred) or other scientifically relevant field. Experience 2+ years experience working in a clinical laboratory. Capable of working at a fast pace on multiple projects and adapting to changes in priorities and work environment. Able to prioritize and optimally communicate through challenges. Strong attention to detail, strong problem‑solving skills, excellence in time‑management and organizational skills. Able to follow onsite standard operating procedures. Able to identify areas of process improvement and drive site communication to address gaps and/or update site procedures. Computer literacy and experience with standard computer programs like Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Align with site safety policies and follow PPE requirements in the lab. Experience with NGS instrumentation (e.g., Genexus Purification system, Genexus Sequencer, PGM Dx., etc.). Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, such as Microsoft Office Suite and LIMS. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understanding of regulatory compliance, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and HIPAA. Compensation and Benefits The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $31.73‑$47.60. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
