Entry Level Software Engineer

Salary: $65,000 - 90,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• We require experience with C or C++ programming.
• We look for strong mathematical and analytical problem-solving ability.
• We expect strong verbal and written communication skills.
• You should be able to thrive in a team-based environment.
• We value a self-motivated, quick-learning mindset with a can-do attitude.
• A valid drivers license is required.
• Preferred experience includes CAN J1939 communication protocol.
• Preferred background includes working within a structured software development process.
• Preferred ability to interpret hardware schematics for wiring and electronic controllers.
• Preferred ability to interpret software requirements and state diagrams.
• Familiarity with common development tools such as Visual Basic is preferred.
• Experience with Simulink model-based software design is preferred.
• General knowledge of industrial equipment or machinery is preferred.

• We develop embedded software applications that control vehicle operation using C, C++, or Simulink MBSD.
• We integrate software within a multi-developer Agile team using continuous integration practices.
• We perform functional and integration testing before handing work off to the software test and evaluation group.
• We track development progress and release status through the Agile process.
• We troubleshoot and debug using unit tests, vehicle simulators, and bench testing of controllers with hardware in the loop.
