2026 Employee Job DescriptionPosition Title: ABCToday Student and Family Engagement ManagerPosition Purpose: Build effective partnerships based on the needs of ABCToday Schools, students and families to support the Attendance, Behavior, and Course performance of students assigned. Coordinates and collaborates with agency staff and partner schools to ensure consistency with BBBSEMO strategy, commitments, and goals.Outcomes/GoalsSupport Youth• Partner with the assigned school to identify and recruit youth to consistently hold a caseload of 35-45 youth served• Support enrollment process with youth and PGs• Set weekly/monthly/quarterly goals with youth (in partnership with PGs and school staff), document next steps, and follow up• Meet with each youth a minimum of once per month, documenting in Matchforce• Support check-ins in partnership with colleagues to connect and engage with PG’s during the school year and summer, documenting as needed.• Partner with colleagues to support programming as identified (I.e. weekly after school program, supports/celebration efforts, in-school experiences)Partner with Schools and ABCToday Network• Work in partnership with staff at each school by attending weekly/monthly/quarterly meetings to ensure success of youth and family• Participate in a minimum of 4 network partner meetings at assigned schools and participate in school wide activities• Work with youth and families to establish at least 1 connection and belonging goal within the school year.Organize Resources• Meet the needs of youth and families by identifying and connecting families to resources.• Work with internal and external partners to understand root challenges for youth and families• Work back weekly/monthly/quarterly with school staff to understand plans set in place for youth and participate in meetings around those plansOther duties as assigned.Job CompetenciesProcess Management –Good at figuring out the processes necessary to get things done; knows how to organize people and activities; Can marshal resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things done; knows what to measure and how to measure it; can see opportunities for synergy and integration where others can’t; can simplify complex processes; gets more out of fewer resources.Innovation Management – Has good judgment about which creative ideas and suggestions will work; has a sense about managing the creative process of others; can facilitate effective brainstorming; can project how potential ideas may play out in the marketplace; is good at bringing the creative ideas of others to market; can see underlying or hidden problems and patterns and doesn’t stop at the first answer.Drives engagement- Structures the work so it aligns with people’s goals and motivators; empowers others; makes each person feel his/her contributions are important; invites input and shares ownership and visibility; shows a clear connection between people’s motivators and the organizational goals.Builds Networks- builds strong formal and informal networks; maintains relationships across a variety of functions and locations; draws upon multiple relationships to exchange ideas, resources and know-how.Agency ValuesWe Center Youth (the Individual and their Family)• We prioritize the needs and the safety of youth and families in our decision-making, actions, and owning our outcomes.• Listen to, learn from, and support youth to be experts of their own lives and futures.
