Job Details

A well‑established multi‑office law firm is seeking a Litigation Support Specialist to join its Washington, DC Dispute Resolution Group. This position will provide hands‑on litigation, case management, administrative, and trial support to attorneys and paralegals in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Support litigation matters from pleadings through trial
• Draft, format, proofread and cite‑check legal documents
• Prepare and electronically file pleadings, motions and other court documents
• Monitor court deadlines, hearings and scheduling orders
• Maintain litigation calendars and case checklists
• Organize electronic and hard‑copy case files
• Assist with discovery collection, review coordination and production
• Prepare deposition binders, exhibit lists, trial notebooks and hearing materials
• Assist with subpoena preparation and service tracking
• Coordinate with court reporters, experts, vendors and litigation‑support providers
• Coordinate attorney calendars, depositions, court appearances and travel
• Track attorney time and expenses
• Assist with conflicts, new matter intake and engagement documentation
• Conduct legal and news research and synthesize information
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel and court personnel

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• Prior litigation‑focused law firm or high‑volume legal experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with federal/state court procedures and e‑filing
• PACER and/or CM/ECF experience preferred
• Strong Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills
• Excellent written communication, proofreading and organizational skills
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and work independently
• NetDocuments, Everlaw or LeanLaw experience is a plus
