Busch Vacuum Solutions has an immediate direct hire opportunity for a Human Resources Manager at our United States headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia! The Human Resources Manager is a hands-on, front-line role delivering the full employee lifecycle of HR support at the site, from onboarding through offboarding. This position serves as the primary point of contact for employees on day-to-day HR matters, including new hire orientation, benefits questions, leave of absence guidance, employee relations, and performance management. The Human Resources Manager interprets and applies company policy, staying current on state and federal employment law to ensure compliant practices at the site. This role works cross-functionally as part of an integrated HR team, collaborating closely with Talent Management, Learning and Development, and HR Operations to ensure a seamless employee experience from hire to exit. This is a full-time, fully onsite position located at our headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Typical working hours are Monday through Friday, with flexibility to support business needs as required. Targeted Compensation: The targeted base salary for this position is $110,000 - $125,000 annually, depending on the selected candidate's qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. If you are passionate about providing front-line HR support, partnering with employees and leaders, and creating a positive employee experience, we encourage you to apply and learn why Busch Vacuum Solutions is a great place to build your career.Job ResponsibilitiesDesign and deliver a first-class new hire orientation and onboarding experience, creating a welcoming, well-organized, and memorable first day and first week for every new employeeOwn the onboarding experience beginning on the new hire's first day, partnering with Talent Management to ensure a seamless day-one handoff and completion of all required documentationServe as the new hire's dedicated point of contact throughout onboarding, including conducting 30-, 60-, and 90-day check-insCoordinate travel arrangements for onboarding and initial training for select positions, as neededServe as the front-line resource for employee benefits questions, leave of absence guidance, and life event changes, partnering with HR Operations as appropriateServe as a trusted resource for employees and managers on workplace concerns, employee relations matters, and workplace investigationsCoach and guide managers through the performance management process, including goal setting, coaching conversations, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actionsPartner with Learning and Development to support employee development initiativesInterpret and apply company policies while ensuring compliance with state and federal employment lawsPartner with site leadership on succession planning, talent review, and workforce support initiativesProvide day-to-day onsite HR support while maintaining a visible and approachable presence throughout the siteConduct exit interviews, identify trends, and manage the offboarding process from start to finishProcess employee lifecycle transactions within ADP and maintain organizational data within SuccessFactorsPartner with HR Operations to ensure data integrity and resolve employee data discrepanciesProcess HR-related invoices in partnership with PurchasingCollaborate with Talent Management, Learning and Development, HR Operations, and other internal stakeholders to deliver a consistent employee experiencePerform other duties as assigned.Required ExperienceBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field: PreferredSeven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in a Human Resources Manager or equivalent role: RequiredWorking knowledge of employee benefits, leave administration, employee relations, and performance management: RequiredSolid understanding of state and federal employment laws: RequiredExperience with HRIS platforms such as ADP and SuccessFactors: RequiredProficiency with Microsoft Office applications: RequiredAbility to work independently while handling complex issues with minimal supervision: RequiredPersonal QualificationsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skillsSound judgment, discretion, and tact in employee interactionsAbility to build trust with front-line employees and managersStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to balance policy compliance with employee advocacyAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environmentHigh level of professionalism, integrity, and accountabilityJob RequirementsAbility and willingness to pass a 10-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history checkMost felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basisWillingness to travel domestically for trainingValid Drivers' License must be maintained throughout employment that meets Busch insurance standardsEmployment with Busch Vacuum Solutions requires current work authorization in the United States. This is a fully onsite, hands-on role requiring regular interaction with employees and leaders throughout the facility. While the majority of work is performed in an office setting, the Human Resources Manager is expected to spend time in manufacturing and operational areas providing front-line HR support. Exposure to moderate noise levels, moving mechanical equipment, temperature fluctuations, fumes, and airborne particles may occur while in operational areas.
