An opportunity awaits for a skilled and compassionate LPN with a background in school-based nursing. Step into a vital 1:1 support role, assisting a high school student with complex health needs in an educational setting located near Cartersville, GA. This contract position runs from ASAP through May 26th, 2027, offering a rewarding, meaningful experience while working full-time (37.5 hours per week) during center hours, 8:00am – 3:00pm. There is potential for bus riding responsibilities, which will be finalized as placement details are determined.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted LPN license
• 3-5 years of LPN experience, specifically with:
  • G and J Tube care
  • Managing seizure activity
  • Trach care and suctioning
  • Use and oversight of Vagus Nerve Stimulator (VNS)
• Demonstrated experience working with school-aged populations in a school setting
• Reliability and prompt attendance are essential, as consistent support for the student is required
• Ability to commute within 45 minutes or less strongly preferred due to student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver attentive, individualized care to a high school student with seizure activity and associated behavioral support needs, in collaboration with district behavior staff
• Administer medical interventions, including G/J tube feedings, trach care, and seizure management
• Monitor, document, and communicate changes in health status
• Support the student during the school day, and possibly during bus transportation
• Foster a safe and nurturing environment conducive to learning and social development
