PhysicianHot JobElkins, WV 26241OverviewPosition Type Full Time Job Shift Day Category Health CareDescriptionJob SummaryProvides comprehensive medical services for members of family, regardless of age or sex, on continuing basis by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesExamines patients for symptoms or physical information.Elicits and records information about patient's medical history.Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition.Analyzes reports and findings of tests and examination, and diagnoses condition of patient.Administers or prescribes treatments and medications.Promotes health by advising patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease.Inoculates and vaccinates patients to immunize patients from communicable diseases.Provides prenatal care to pregnant women, delivers babies, and provides postnatal care to mothers and infants.Performs surgical procedures commensurate with surgical competency.Refers patients to medical specialist for consultant services when necessary for patient's well beingRefers patients to medical specialist or other practitioner for specialized treatment.Performs minor surgery and procedure as qualified.Makes house and emergency calls to attend to patients unable to visit office or clinic.Conducts physical examinations to provide information needed for admission to school, consideration for jobs, or eligibility for insurance coverage.Other duties may be assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesIs responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation in the medical area. Also directly supervises 2-3 nurse employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. May be responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.QualificationsEducation and ExperiencePhysician will have Medical Doctoral degree with experience and/or training in primary care. Certificates from Colleges, Hospital, Clinic, and Medical School attended for experience and credentialing. Be Board Certified or Board Eligible. Physician may have a higher degrees/certificates Licensed to practice medicine.Preferred QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
