Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 on behavioral holds
• Document accurately and efficiently using the Cerner electronic health record system
• Work flexibly across all sections of the Emergency Department as needed, including triage and cardiac monitoring areas
• Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior practices, and consistent patient communication throughout each visit
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including ED techs, cardiac monitoring unit staff, and unit clerks across day and night shifts
• Serve a diverse, multicultural patient population and contribute to a team-oriented department culture

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Ability to work every other weekend; scheduling must meet departmental needs with no block scheduling commitments
• Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback; flexibility to work in all areas of the ED

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience within an HCA-affiliated facility
• Familiarity with Baxter pumps and GE monitoring equipment
• Experience working in a culturally and linguistically diverse patient population
