Description Summary The basic function of the Fabricator is to measure, cut, punch, bend, and fasten chassis and face panels and sub-assemblies used in the manufacture of all scoreboard products. This is an hourly TEMPORARY position based in Houston, Texas. Responsibilities Inspect each sheet of metal for flaws and use measuring tape to ensure the correct size. Move materials as needed to supply fabrication and transfer material to other departments. Operate plasma tables, shear, brakes, CNC, and other fabrication equipment. Inspect each fabricated sub assembly for correctness prior to transferring it to another department. Read and interpret drawings and layout and cut sheet metal per design. Wears PPE always when using tools and equipment. Qualifications/Skills: Must demonstrate the ability to properly handle and modify sheet metal to an acceptable quality level. Must be able to utilize hand tools and measuring equipment. Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work safely. Must be able to perform basic math skills and read a tape measure to 1/16 of an inc.
