South Carolina 1700 WADE HAMPTON BLVD Greenville, SC 296140001, USA POSITION SUMMARY POSITION SUMMARY: The student employee will be a contributor in providing software solutions, including design, code and testing, for a variety of academic and non-academic application systems. Bob Jones University or Bob Jones Academy students only Responsibilities Plays an active role in the design, development and support of various software applications used by business units at Bob Jones University and BJU Press. Writes program specifications as needed from business requirements as well as converts designs and specifications into computer code. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Working knowledge of database structures and relationships Working knowledge of object-oriented software technology Understanding of the University's goals and objectives Good communication skills, both written and oral Logical and organized documentation skills Problem solving and adaptability skills Ability to work well with others Schedule Work must happen between 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday, but is flexible with class schedules. The student is expected to work three 2+ hour work periods per week at a minimum. Summer employment of 40 hours a week is expected.
