Scheduling Coordinator

Full time/ 40 Hrs/ Day / BWH Radiology

The Scheduling Coordinator must be a highly energetic, independent and professional individual with strong interpersonal skills. Following established departmental and hospital procedures the Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the patient scheduling activities for all the on-site and off-site sections in the Department of Radiology. The Coordinator works closely with the referring physician offices and Radiology sections to coordinate the scheduling of patient procedures. In doing so, the coordinator maintains the highest possible level of communication to achieve quality care. Performs all secretarial, and patient confirmation functions necessary for the complete and efficient management of patient scheduling and access through the Radiology Department.

Extensive experience and formal course work in medical terminology and office procedure generally acquired through medical secretarial course/school beyond High School, equal to two (2) years of college scholastic preparation.

Two (2) to three (3) years of medical office or clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
