The AMPCC is focused on the research, development, and deployment of additive manufacturing tools and processes for our business units.What You Will DoLead process development activity to improve print capability, increase speed, reduce cost and enhance material performance in support of advanced RTX Business Unit product initiativesSupport AM Qualification efforts utilizing IQ, OQ and MQ with a strong collaborative RTX Business Unit cross functional teamDevelop and utilize advanced tools and equipment to characterize machines and process spaceCollaborate with government, industry, academic, and RTX Business Unit partners to develop whitepapers, project concepts, and responsive proposalsConduct RCCA activities on build failures, machine or process issues, or product performance gapsWork with cross-functional teams including materials, design, simulation, operations, and characterization engineers to support and improve the full value streamSupport RTX Business Units by providing process expertise and best practicesQualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a University Engineering Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experienceDemonstrated expertise in Additive Manufacturing tools and processesScripting experience with Matlab, Python, VBA, JavaScript or similarExperience with software and tools used in Additive Manufacturing including CAD packagesHands on experience with metal laser powder-bed-fusion AM equipmentWorking understanding of AM machine sensors and control systemsQualifications We PreferPreferred candidates for this position will have a PhD in Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing Engineering or related technical field.The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
