Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner Locum Opportunity Oregon Position Overview A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for short-term locum coverage. Candidates must have an active Oregon license at the time of presentation and be available for the required July coverage dates. Compensation: $110/hr Assignment Details Start Date: July 2026 Duration: Initial 3-month assignment Required Coverage Dates July 6 10, 2026 Schedule 10-hour shifts Shift options may include: 9:00 AM 7:00 PM 11:00 AM 9:00 PM 1:00 PM 11:00 PM No call requirements Practice Setting Hospital-based Emergency Department Inpatient setting Approximately 60 beds Epic EMR Patient Population Providers will treat patients across all age groups: Neonates Infants Pediatrics Adolescents Adults Geriatrics Clinical Responsibilities Emergency Department patient care Evaluation and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries Standard emergency medicine procedures Collaboration within a well-staffed emergency department team Required Procedures Suturing Incision and drainage (I&D) Standard emergency medicine procedures Patient Volume Average Emergency Department volume: approximately 230 patients per day Team Environment Well-staffed department Provider will not work solo No rounding responsibilities No admissions responsibilities Qualifications Required Board Certified Nurse Practitioner Active Oregon License at time of presentation DEA Registration Epic experience Documentation of emergency medicine practice within the previous 24 months (case logs required) Certifications Proof of prior ACLS training Proof of prior ATLS training Current ACLS and ATLS certification status is not required, but prior completion must be documented. Credentialing & Compliance Oregon license must be active at presentation Emergency medicine case logs from the previous 24 months required COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Ideal Candidate Experienced Emergency Medicine NP Available for the required July coverage dates Comfortable treating patients of all ages Experienced with common emergency procedures including suturing and incision & drainage Proficient with Epic EMR
