In this role, you will provide administrative and clinical support to the Nursing Department and Behavioral Health Team to help ensure the health, safety, and physical welfare of people supported in DDRC waiver programs. This position coordinates medical documentation, appointments, appointment follow-up, medication-related processes, and health tracking activities for both departments.Compensation: $23.00-$25.30/hour.Benefits:Medical benefits - $30/month for an individual (opportunity to add dependents) $750 deductible, 100% covered after.DentalVision401(k) - 3% employer matchLife insuranceFlexible spending accountVacation/sick accrualHoliday payEligibility to participate in the Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSFL) ProgramWhat you'll do:Maintains regular attendance, punctuality, flexibility in work hours, required training, certifications, and organizational standards to support consistent Nursing Department operations.Maintains accurate electronic health records, required documentation, record retention processes, and file management in accordance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and HIPAA/confidentiality standards.Supports medication-related processes, including medication ordering, cycle-fill coordination, inventories, controlled medication procedures, and tracking and disposal of expired or discontinued medications in accordance with established procedures. (Nursing)Completes approved clinical support functions, including vital signs, venipuncture, laboratory requisition tracking, medical reviews, physician order follow-up.Facilitates timely communication among residential programs, day programs, nursing staff, physicians, pharmacies, employees, guardians, and other stakeholders regarding appointments, medication needs, clinical updates, and healthcare services.Coordinates medical appointment scheduling, tracking, documentation, and follow-up to support continuity of care and compliance with organizational requirements.Assists with input for lab requisitions as ordered by physician as well as helps retrieve results.Coordinates schedule for meetings related behavioral health services/nursing servicesWhat we're looking for:High school diploma or equivalent.Diploma or certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.Minimum of one year of experience working as a Certified Medical Assistant.Experience with electronic health records and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.Preferred:Two to three years of experience working as a Certified Medical Assistant.Experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.Minimum of one year of staff supervision experience.Work environment:This is a full-time position. Monday-Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.Work is primarily performed in an office-based environment, with hybrid work as assigned and required in-office days.Uses standard office equipment, computers, electronic health record systems, phones, and clinical support supplies.May be required to sit or stand for prolonged periods, move within office or program settings, and communicate in person, by phone, and electronically.May occasionally lift, carry, or move supplies and materials consistent with department needs and approved safety practices.Developmental Disabilities Resource Center: Our storyAt DDRC, we are dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and supporting their families.
