Global Placement Firm is partnering with a respected commercial mechanical services company in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to identify a skilled Commercial HVAC/R Technician experienced in the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.

Position Summary
As a Commercial HVAC/R Technician, you will:
- Diagnose, service, and repair commercial refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, freezers, split systems, rooftop units (RTUs), and rack refrigeration systems.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant issues with precision and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used, diagnostics, and repair notes.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, management, and customers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct maintenance, repairs, and installations on commercial HVAC/R systems.
- Identify and resolve system performance issues quickly and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and local building codes.
- Support system upgrades, retrofits, and component replacements as needed.
- Represent both the client company and Global Placement Firm with professionalism and integrity.
Desired Skills & Competencies
Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems, including split systems, RTUs, and rack systems. Problem-Solving Ability: Skilled in diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and system optimization. Professionalism: Reliable, detail-oriented, and focused on delivering top-quality results. Customer Focus: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to client satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial refrigeration equipment.
- EPA Universal Certification (required).
- Hands-on experience with split systems, rooftop units, walk-in coolers & freezers, and rack refrigeration systems.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work in field environments.
