Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Level I trauma centers and be ready to work in a fast-paced environment.

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Weekend Requirements: Availability to work 3 weekends (Friday-Sunday) within a 4-week schedule, with potential for scheduling 1, 2, or all 3 days.
• Floating: Potential to float to Pediatrics.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients presenting with a variety of emergency conditions.
• Manage and interpret dysrhythmias effectively.
• Utilize EPIC charting for documentation.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Qualifications

• Required Certifications:
  • State license
  • ACLS
  • BCLS by AHA
  • PALS
  • TNCC
  • ENPC (Preferred)
  • NIH
• Required Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting.
  • Experience in a Level I trauma center is mandatory.
• Preferred Experience:
  • Comfort with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration.
  • Triage experience is a plus.

Additional Information

The emergency department is currently operating with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5-6, which may increase to 8 during peak times or holidays. The successful candidate will need to be adaptable and thrive in a dynamic and high-volume environment.
