Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

Job Description

Job Summary:
Experienced ultrasound technologist responsible for performing high-quality sonographic examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment planning for patients. Ensures accurate imaging and adheres to safety and clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

Operate ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic images based on physician specifications.
Prepare patients by explaining procedures and positioning them for optimal imaging.
Maintain quality control standards and ensure all images meet departmental and regulatory requirements.
Document procedures accurately and manage patient data securely.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to guide appropriate patient care.
Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

Certified or licensed sonographer with at least 2 years of clinical experience in radiology or comparable setting.
Proficient in performing a variety of ultrasound examinations, including vascular, abdominal, obstetric, and gynecologic imaging.
Strong understanding of sonographic physics, anatomy, and patient positioning.
Excellent communication skills for patient interactions and team collaboration.
Ability to follow detailed protocols and safety procedures.
Current healthcare provider BLS certification preferred.
