Job Title RN (Registered Nurse) – ICU Location Kearney, NE | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (0630–1830) | Nights available (1830–0630) | Onsite | Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday) | Minimum of 2 holidays within contract period Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a 33-bed ICU setting with an average daily census of 16, managing a 1:2–3 nurse-to-patient ratio for adult patients Care for patients with complex diagnoses including trauma, cardiac conditions, stroke, sepsis, renal failure, respiratory distress, overdose/substance abuse, post-stent, pacemaker placement, vascular cases, and heart failure Titrate drips including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications Read, interpret, and document cardiac monitor strips using GE monitoring equipment, with tele tech oversight support Manage patients on respiratory support equipment ranging from nasal cannula to mechanical ventilation, including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen Float as needed, typically to PCU and occasionally to MedSurg, maintaining the standard patient ratios assigned on those units (1:4 or 1:5) Required Qualifications Active RN license Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Valid driver's license required at time of submittal Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Candidates may not currently hold a full-time, part-time, or PRN position with any facility associated with the client health system Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; compliance is required as a condition of the contract Preferred Experience / Skills Prior ICU experience with high-acuity adult patient populations Experience titrating cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips in a critical care environment Familiarity with GE cardiac monitoring systems and tele strip interpretation Experience with the full spectrum of respiratory support, including mechanical ventilation Why Join Us Work in a well-supported ICU environment with nurse aide assistance and healthcare support staff available based on census needs Gain diverse critical care experience across a wide range of complex diagnoses in an active regional facility Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 792758.
