CVOR Surgical Technologist (CV Tech) - Travel Contract - Springfield, OH

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,630 - $1,750
• Location: Springfield, Ohio (zip 45504) - Springfield CVOR / Ohio surgical technologist job
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 - August 31, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts with heart call (10-15 calls per 6-week period)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Type: Travel, On-site - travel healthcare job for perioperative professionals

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required (NBSTSA or NCCT accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• At least 1 year perioperative/OR or related military surgical technology experience required
• Cardiac OR experience preferred: minimum 2 years cardiac experience and 1-2 years general surgical experience preferred
• Associate degree, vocational certification, or military certificate in Surgical Technology required
• Previous travel experience preferred (travel CVOR technologist, cardiovascular OR tech)
• Ability to respond within 30 minutes for heart call

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the scrub person during cardiovascular and invasive procedures (CVOR cases, cardiac surgery, vascular cases)
• Assemble, prepare, and organize sterile supplies, instruments, and specialized cardiovascular equipment
• Perform accurate surgical counts with the circulating RN and maintain an organized sterile field throughout procedures
• Assist with sterile draping, provide instruments and supplies to the surgical team, and support vascular surgeons
• Support cath lab and endovascular cases (TCAR, EVAR, TVAR) and other advanced vascular procedures
• Retrieve, collect, and label specimens; report implanted devices, catheters, drains, and packing to circulator
• Float to main OR when CVOR or vascular cases are not scheduled
• Participate in ongoing education, competency verification, and orientation of new staff - maintain perioperative best practices
• Assist with pre/post-procedure cleaning, surgical skin prep, and urinary catheter insertion as required
• Maintain flexibility with unit staffing and scheduling; participate in patient safety and performance improvement initiatives
