Mill Operator

Knight Feedlot is seeking a responsible and reliable Mill Operator for the feedyard located in Lyons, KS.Summary: Receive commodities into the Mill, mix ingredients for cattle feed, assist in upkeep of Mill facilities, operate equipment when transferring commodities, and perform general administrative duties.Essential Duties And Responsibilities may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Review daily assignment.Assist in receiving commodities and determining moisture content.Closely watch roll corrugation to maintain flake quality and production output. (Mills with flakers)Participate in all aspects of the feed milling operation.Prepare production records.Operate loader when transferring commodities for mixing rations.Operate dump truck when transferring high moisture corn.Maintain general housekeeping in and around the mill area.Perform and/or assist in preventative maintenance and repair of mill equipment.Comply with all OSHA Safety procedures, rules, and regulations.Must be able to pass post offer employment testing.Competitive pay, commensurate with experience with potential for annual bonusCompany paid health, dental & vision insurance for employee401(k) with company matchingHoliday pay and a great PTO planThe successful candidates for this position must be able to pass post offer employment testing.
