Registration Clerk - Registration (Part-Time)

Columbus Community Hospital is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Registration Clerk to join our Registration team. This part-time position will provide support across all five areas of Registration, including patient registration, switchboard operations, and hospital emergency communications.

Schedule:

32 hours per week, 4 days per week
Variable shifts, including:
- 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on scheduled weekends
- 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Required to work every 4th weekend
Required to work two holidays per year

Responsibilities

Register patients accurately and efficiently
Verify insurance eligibility and demographic information
Attach registration information to the electronic medical record (EMR)
Operate the hospital switchboard
Assist with emergency communication procedures for the hospital
Float between the five areas covered by Registration as needed

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required
Strong customer service skills
Strong computer skills
Excellent work ethic and attention to detail
Dependable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing responsibilities
