Tractor Technician

$27.66 - $36.85 per hour

The Tractor Technician is responsible for performing intermediate-level maintenance, service and repair of J.B. Hunt semi-tractors and other equipment.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance and tractor repairs on diesel engines, transmission, fuel systems, electrical systems and air brakes (FHWA inspections)
Diagnose and troubleshoot heavy-duty truck and tractor issues to OEM and company standards
Complete work orders within SRT and warranty guidelines
Follow all shop safety procedures and maintain professional communication
Participate in OEM training and assist with technician onboarding

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must be at least 18 years old
At least 1-2 years of hands-on mechanic experience servicing semi-trucks or military equivalent
AC Certification
At least 1 year in DOT and FHWA inspections and air brake systems
Able to supply your own basic tools or purchase through J.B. Hunt purchasing program

The expected starting pay range for this position is between $27.66 - $36.85 .
