SmartHire is partnering with a global leader to hire a Production Specialist I in Redmond, WA. This is a full time, direct hire position. Ideal candidate will have experience within Production preferably in food manufacturing or similar.
Position: Production Specialist I
Location: Redmond, WA
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Obtain blend and packaging batch sheets and verify proper materials and equipment are prepared.
•Review production documentation and ensure samples and testing requests are submitted to Quality Assurance.
•Execute production orders according to written instructions and specifications.
•Maintain accurate inventory, labeling, and weight records.
•Clean, sanitize, and perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
•Monitor equipment performance and assist with troubleshooting.
•Maintain First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory practices.
•Ensure production and facility areas remain clean, organized, and inspection ready.
•Operate freeze dryers, including loading, unloading, harvesting, and cleaning.
•Document freeze-drying process parameters and production data.
•Perform slurry evaluations and pH testing.
•Collect and document product samples using aseptic techniques.
•Assemble, disassemble, clean, and operate centrifuge equipment.
•Assist with packaging operations on stick pack production lines.
•Complete and maintain accurate batch records and production documentation.
•Assist team members and support special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
•High School Diploma or GED required.
•Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
•Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
•Ability to follow written instructions and accurately complete documentation.
•Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, repetitive motion, and extended periods of standing.
•Previous manufacturing, food production, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or GMP experience is preferred but not required.
