  • Proactively spend time on the production floor daily to connect with employees, observe operations, and address concerns in real time.
  • Communicate regularly and meet with union representatives, fostering constructive labor-management relationships.

  • Utilize internal and outside resources to lead the planning and delivery of safety and other training programs for all employees, from new hires to leadership.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, and coordinate annual insurance renewal planning, working with internal leadership and brokers and providers to secure competitive, cost-effective plans.
  • Manage pension and retirement plan administration, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and timely communication to employees.
  • Maintain accurate HR, safety, benefits, and compliance records, ensuring readiness for internal and external audits.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees, plant supervisors, operations team, and company leadership, providing guidance on HR policies, safety protocols, benefits, and workplace concerns.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Safety Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with at least 2 years in a safety, benefit administration, compliance, or labor relations role.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers’ compensation processes, and safety best practices.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment, including grievance handling and contract interpretation is preferred but not required.
  • Proven ability to mentor and coach employees at all levels to improve performance and engagement.
  • Experience administering employee benefits programs, including renewals and pension plans. Knowledge of self-funded insurance arrangements would be a plus.

Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to build trust across diverse teams.

· Proactive, hands-on leadership style with a commitment to daily visibility and accessibility on the production floor.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, life insurance, disability leave, and other voluntary benefits.
  • 401(k) Plan with company safe harbor and matching contributions, and profit sharing potential to help you plan financially for your future.
  • Paid time off and paid holidays to support work-life balance.
  • The opportunity to make a tangible contribution to the success of our business and the success of our employees every single day.
